Security Systems Design
Kari has over 30 years of work experience in the private security sector. Kari has worked for security system providers, security manpower companies, a major financial institution and a number of engineering/security consulting firms.
Kari started his security career with a national security systems company in Toronto, where he progressed from supervisor functions to Service Manager, Installations Manager, Central Monitoring Station Manager to finally Operations Manager. He was subsequently recruited by one of the major national banks to take on the role of Security Equipment & Systems Manager with worldwide responsibility for the security systems in the bank's branches, offices and data centres.
In 1988, on moving to Vancouver, Kari took several positions over time with major security systems companies involved in integrated security systems for new construction as well as retrofit work. He increased his expertise in the security product application, cost estimating and project management areas during these tenures. He worked with most of the major manufacturers of card access control, ID badgeing, CCTV, video recording and audio systems. May of the system applications included integration and network connections of the various security related systems.
As Security Manager for Gage-Babcock & Associates, he provides security consulting services to our many clients. These services will include: risk assessments, equipment and systems designs, cost estimates, project specification and commissioning services. He will assist GBA in providing coordinated life safety, fire protection and security solutions to our clients.
