Seineloft Sprinkler Test
GBA is a pioneer in the development of software for use in the design of sprinkler systems. Our sprinkler hydraulic computer program, 'Sprink', developed 'in-house' and used by GBA since 1974, is used throughout the world and is the standard for Australia and New Zealand. GBA is a distributor for the Windows version of SPRINK.
GBA design staff have designed, tendered and administered numerous fire detection and fire suppression system projects involving commercial, industrial, institutional, residential and public assembly buildings. Sprinkler and standpipe designs are based on the criteria contained in the applicable standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA No. 13, NFPA No. 13R, NFPA No. 14), as referenced by the Federal and Provincial Building Codes of Canada. A considerable portion of our design experience relates to system installations in existing, and often occupied, facilities.
Through the design aspect of our consulting practice, staff have gained considerable experience in contract administration for life safety systems. This experience relates to both new and upgrading of existing facilities with respect to design, tender, contract administration, approval of contractor progress payments, declaration of Substantial Completion, etc.
Because of our extensive knowledge of the life safety principles prescribed by today's codes, we are able to consolidate the key building code provisions into sprinkler and fire alarm designs.
